We used DuraRUBBER® – Equine & Livestock Mats 6 x 4 feet x ¾ inches cut
in 2 for the path way and full sheets around the fire place except for the corners which we cut the roundness of the pit.
We started by digging up the soil to approximately 4 inches and filled it with what is known as waist gravel to approximately 3 ¼ inches leaving the rubber fairly even to the ground level.
Having a sheet left over we decided to put it in front of the shed. Again, we added waist gravel.
The rubber cuts really well with a knife or a small oscillator saw.
As far as amber, we have no problem yet. Always be sure you keep an eye on the amber just in case.
My wife and I enjoyed working with the material.
It is now the end of January 2024. We've had a fairly good winter so far. The rain and snow on the DuraRUBBER® – Equine & Livestock Mats 6 x 4 feet x ¾ inches dried up rather quickly and like pavement what ever water may have stayed on it froze but with a bit of sun dried up rather quickly. Winter is winter, water is water and ice is ice so keep in mind that you will at some times get ice on the rubber mat. read less

I think the tiles really make the garage pop! Can’t really say how durable as yet as have only had for just over a month now. Installation is easy with many tutorials on you tube with similar products. Nice benefit I found is that tiles are really nice to walk on and less tiring than standing on concrete. Looking forward to seeing how they stand up over the winter time with our Jeep. Only complaint is I have to work in garage with door closed as my neighbours are dropping by to inspect floor all the time! Very Happy with Purchase and Service so far! read less
